The sound piece Headlines is part of a larger installation. It presents a record, which plays the sound of pages being turned over in an issue of The New York Times. The duration of the record is approximately 12 minutes, which is the amount of time it took to read all the headlines. Text and images are translated to the quiet sound of the newspaper and the revolutions of the turntable. In The Aesthetics of Disappearance Paul Virilio argues, that the speed of information has become more important than the information itself.
